I configured the settings but I’m not seeing activities pushed to CRM yet?
The push sync runs every few hours, so you won’t see this happen immediately. You should also verify that you have mapped a CRM User in your CRM settings; if you haven’t mapped a user, we will not push activities to CRM!
Why do I not have as many comments synced to my CRM as I appear to have on the post?
We do not sync your own comments on your own posts, to the CRM.
How do LinkedIn activities get synced to CRM?
They are pushed in as Completed Tasks created on Contacts (or, if you use Salesforce and we cannot find a matching contact; on Leads).
Can I have Aware push activities as Notes, or Calls, or some other activity type?
Not at this time.
Can I prevent activities from syncing on certain contacts?
There is no way to prevent activities from being logged on just one contact or lead or another. Rather, you would need to disable the syncing of activities to any contact not in CRM already, by turning off the “create new contacts?” toggle in the Advanced Settings. Then, you would need to make sure that any contacts you do not want activities logged on, are not in your CRM.
How does Aware match LinkedIn profiles I interact with, to CRM records?
You can configure this in the Matching settings. We encourage you to populate your CRM with LinkedIn Profiles data, such as with a contact data enrichment tool, since this is the most reliable method of matching: for example, the CRM person object with LinkedIn profile of “linkedin.com/in/alexcboyd” is going to match “https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexcboyd” when you interact with this person on LinkedIn, so we will know to push activities done with that person on LinkedIn, to the corresponding CRM person record.
If you don’t have this field populated with data, you can also enable matching based on “First Name, Last Name, and Account Name” exact match; or even, First Name and Last Name only. If you elect to enable matching on just First and Last name, then be aware that the possibility of us logging an activity on the wrong contact goes up sharply; say, if you have 3 John Smiths in your CRM, and there is no account match, and you don’t have LinkedIn Profile URL data populated in your CRM for your person objects, then we will simply pick the first John Smith that we find.
